Australian Open 2025: Fighting for the Grand Slam Victory
Australian Open 2025 is just around the corner, marking the start of the first Grand Slam of the season. Top tennis players from across the globe are eager to kick off their campaigns with a strong performance. Defending champion Jannik Sinner is set to face fierce competition from some of the biggest names, including Novak Djokovic.

Australian Open begins on 12th January and will continue till 25th January. Here is a look at the favorites to win the first Grand Slam of 2025.
Australian Open 2025: Mens Winner Betting Odds
Defending champion, Jannik Sinner is the favourite to lift his second Australian Open crown. The 23-year-old Italian has won two Grand Slams. He lifted the Aussie Open at the start of 2024 and then closed the year with the US Open win. Sinner is a good player on hard court and has proved it in the last couple of seasons. According to top betting platforms, Sinner has odds of around 5/4 to win the first Grand Slam of the year. Sinner will play his opening game against Nicolas Jarry.

Carlos Alcaraz is another big name in the sport. He is the future of tennis but hasn’t been at his best lately. Alcaraz ended the 2024 season with some poor form. His early exits in some of the tournaments have left him in a spot of bother. However, the player can bounce back and will be eyeing his first Grand Slam in Australia. His odds are around 7/2. Alcaraz will go against his Ukrainian opponent, Alexander Shevchenko in the opening round of the Australian Open.
The third favorite is Novak Djokovic. Alexander Zverev is fourth on the list and has an eye on his first Grand Slam. He has an odd of 7 and 8. Daniil Medvedev has an odd of around 10.

Novak is the most successful player Down Under. The Serbian has won 10 Australian Open and is eyeing his 11th title in Australia. He will face competition from some of the top youngsters in the game. The Serb is eyeing his 25th Grand Slam.

2024 was not the year of Novak Djokovic in terms of Grand Slam. A semi-final exit in the Australian Open was followed by a quarter-final exit in the French Open. Novak lost the Wimbledon final against Alcaraz and then made a shocking third-round exit in the US Open.

At 37, he is hungry and wants to add another Grand Slam. Djokovic has odds of around 5 and 6 on different websites. It won’t be easy for him to win the Grand Slam but Novak will look to use his experience and give his best in the first Grand Slam of the season.
Djokovic is seeded seventh this time and will start his campaign against Nishesh Basavareddy.
