Sinner and Alcaraz will meet in the finals of the ATP Beijing Open 2024. This will be the first meeting between these two at an ATP 500 event. The prize money for the event is $3,720,165.
Jannik Sinner eases past Yunchaokete Bu
Jannik Sinner was up against Yunchaokete Bu of China. The 22-year-old Chinese youngster is ranked 96th in the world. He is also the third-best Chinese player in the rankings. Going up against World No. 1 was not easy. However, Bu gave his best in this semi-final match.
Sinner won the first set with a score of 6-3. The second set brought the best out of the Chinese player. He took the world no. 1 to a tiebreaker. Sinner got the better of his opponent and won the tiebreaker 7-3. The Italian delivered 11 aces in the match. However, he only converted one of the nine break points earned in the match.
Carlos Alcaraz dominates Daniil Medvdev
Carlos Alcaraz faced a much tougher opponent in the semi-final. He was up against Daniil Medvedev, who is also a hard-hitter. Alcaraz proved to be the better player as he wrapped up the match in two straight sets.

The first set ended 7-5 in favor of the Spaniard. He eased past Medvedev in the second past. The score was 6-3. Both players delivered three aces each. Medvedev got two break points and he converted them with ease. Alcaraz, on the other hand, converted seven of the 11 break points he won.
This was Alcaraz’s sixth win over Medvedev. The Spanish player has now won the last four meetings. Daniil Medvedev has won two matches against the youngster.
