Premier League Transfer Round Up

Bayern Munich is preparing to submit their fourth bid for Tottenham star Harry Kane. The German team is getting ready to offer £94 million, which falls short of Spurs’ £100 million valuation. Reports indicate that Chelsea’s pursuit of Moises Caicedo has received a boost as the midfielder is enthusiastic about joining the Blues.

Meanwhile, Neymar, the Brazilian star, has expressed his desire to leave PSG during this summer transfer window. Arsenal is set to complete the signing of David Raya from Brentford for approximately £30 million. The Spanish goalkeeper has agreed to a five-year deal with Mikel Arteta’s side and will compete with Aaron Ramsdale for the top goalkeeper position.

Despite competition from Tottenham and Chelsea, Arsenal has successfully secured the 27-year-old Raya. Brentford acquired Raya from Blackburn for £2.7 million in 2019. However, the club realized the need to sell him this summer as he declined to extend his contract.

Gary O’Neil will be officially announced as the new manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday afternoon. O’Neil, the former boss of Bournemouth, will take over from Julen Lopetegui, who left the club following extensive exit negotiations. O’Neil stood out among several candidates interviewed for the position, impressing the club during multiple meetings. Last season, he took charge of his first permanent coaching role, successfully guiding Bournemouth to Premier League survival after replacing Scott Parker. Andoni Iraola succeeded him at Bournemouth.

West Ham is intensively pursuing a deal for Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse. David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that the London club has made an increased offer for the 28-year-old midfielder. West Ham had a £30 million bid for Ward-Prowse rejected by Southampton last month. Despite Ward-Prowse’s upcoming appearance for Southampton against Norwich in the Championship, it’s widely believed that this will be his final game for the club. Ward-Prowse has been associated with St Mary’s since 2003 when he joined the academy at the age of nine, accumulating 422 appearances.

Manchester United is planning to make an offer for Sofyan Amrabat as soon as they receive an acceptable bid for Scott McTominay. The Red Devils have targeted the Moroccan midfielder as a replacement for McTominay in midfield. Reports from Italy suggest a £22 million offer is being prepared for the 26-year-old. Fiorentina’s desire to retain their star player might be overridden by an acceptable offer. Personal terms are not expected to pose a problem, as Amrabat is eager to move to Old Trafford.

David Moyes, the West Ham United manager, intends to appoint Harry Maguire as the next captain of the team if he decides to join the club. Moyes has communicated his plan to Maguire in phone conversations. The move aims to rebuild Maguire’s reputation after he lost his starting place and captaincy at Manchester United. The stumbling block could be Maguire’s £190,000-per-week wages. West Ham has offered £30 million for Maguire, and Manchester United is still considering the bid.

Fulham is making progress in signing Callum Hudson-Odoi from nearby Chelsea. The three-time England international has expressed his desire to move to Craven Cottage and has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Marco Silva’s team. Although there was initially a £4 million gap between Fulham’s offer and Chelsea’s valuation, reports suggest that a deal will be reached soon. Hudson-Odoi would become Fulham’s third signing of the summer, following Raul Jimenez and Calvin Bassey.
