Djokovic knocked out from BNP Paribas Open, a Big Upset
Djokovic suffered the biggest upset of the BNP Paribas Open 2025, exiting in the second round. One of the most successful players in tennis history, he fell to Botic van de Zandschulp. The Dutch player delivered a well-deserved victory against the former World No. 1.
Djokovic struggles against the Dutch opponent
Novak Djokovic was knocked out in three sets by Bostic van de Zandschulp. The Dutchman took the first set 6-2. Djokovic made a comeback by taking the second set 6-3. Bostic outclassed the 24-time Grand Slam champion by winning the third set 6-1. The Dutchman delivered four aces in the match to Djokovic’s none. He also converted five break points and Novak managed only two conversions. Djokovic has to wait for another year to become the most successful player at the Indian Wells.

Rune makes comeback in thriller against Humbert
Holger Rune and Ugo Humbert played a thrilling three-set game. The Dane emerged as the winner in a thrilling contest. Humbert won the first set 7-5. Rune was not going down easily. He took the second set 6-4 and wrapped up the match with a 7-5 win in the final set. Humbert was better on the serve as he delivered 10 aces. Rune also delivered six aces but gave away nine double faults. However, his success in second serve led to this win.
Alcaraz reaches the last 16
Carlos Alcaraz is eyeing his third consecutive championship at the Indian Wells. The Spaniard defeated his Canadian opponent, Denis Shapovalov, in straight sets. Alcaraz took the first set with ease. He won 6-2 and then took the second set 6-4. The Spaniard converted four break points to take the match with ease.
Taylor Fritz fights from a set down
America’s top seed, Taylor Fritz has also made it to the last 16. The No. 3 seed had to come back from a set down against his Chilean opponent, Alejandro Tabilo. Fritz lost the first set 6-4. He then took the second set 6-3 and the final set 6-1. The American was lethal on the serve, delivering 12 aces in the match.

Alex de Minaur outclasses Hubert Hurkacz
Australia’s top seed, Alex de Minaur took on his Polish opponent in the Round of 32. De Minaur was at the top of his game. He won the first set 6-4 and wrapped up the match with a 6-0 win. The Aussie converted all four break points that he earned in the match. He struggled a bit on the first serve as he only delivered 45% of them.
Sabalenka, Paolini, Rybakina book last 16 berths
In the women’s championship, top seeds have booked their place in the last 16. Aryna Sabalenka won convincingly over Lucia Bronzetti in straight sets. She took the first set 6-1 and the next one 6-2.
Jasmine Paolini took three sets to make it to the last 16. She won the first one 6-4 against Jaqueline Cristian and then lost the second one 6-3. Paolini wrapped up the match with a 6-4 win.
2023 champion, Elena Rybakina also booked her place with a straight sets win.
