The Rolex Shanghai Masters-Top Seeds to Become New Champions
The Rolex Shanghai Masters is one of the biggest ATP Tournaments held every year. This is the 13th edition of the Shanghai ATP Masters 1000. All top seeds are competing to become the new champion of this event. The tournament has advanced to the third and fourth rounds. All top seeds are there to win one of the few remaining tournaments of the year. Four players have already advanced to the last 16, while others are still competing to make it to the pre-quarters.

The Rolex Shanghai Masters: World No. 1 passes tough Etcheverry test
Jannik Sinner was up against Tomas Etcheverry of Argentina. The World No. 1 came from a set behind to book his place in the last 16. Etcheverry won the first set in a tiebreaker. The score was 7-3 as the Argentine took the set 7-6. Sinner made a comeback in the next two sets. He won 6-4 and 6-2 to make it to the last 16. Jannik will face the winner of the match between Roberto Baena and Ben Shelton.
Carlos Alcaraz beats home favorite
Carlos Alcaraz is eyeing his second ATP title after the Beijing Open triumph last month. He was up against Wu Yibing of China. The Spaniard is one of the best in the business. He silenced the home crowd with a straight sets win. Alcaraz won 7-6 (7-5) and 6-3 to advance to the last 16. He will now face either Gael Monfils or Ugo Humbert in the next round.
Medvedev and Tommy Paul reach the last 16
Daniil Medvedev and Tommy Paul are the other two players to reach the last 16. Medvedev was up against Matteo Arnaldi of Italy. Arnaldi won the first set 7-5. Medvedev showed his class by winning the next two sets 6-4 and 6-4. He will face the winner of the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexandre Muller.

Tommy Paul and Alejandro Tabilo faced each other in the third round. Paul lost the first set 7-6 in a tiebreaker. The second set also went into a tiebreaker but Paul won it to level the score on 1-1. Paul won the third set with ease to make it to the last 16. He will now face either Tomas Machac or Aleksander Vukic in the next round.
Andrey Rublev & Casper Ruud suffer early exit
Two top seeds suffered a second-round exit in the Shanghai Masters 2024. Sixth seed Andrey Rublev was up against Jakub Mensik of Czechia. Rublev won the first set 7-6 (9-7). Mensik had some other plans and turned the match in the next two rounds. He won 6-4 and 6-3 to set up a match with Alexander Shevchenko in the third round.
Casper Ruud lost his second-round match against qualifier, Aleksander Vukic of Australia. Vukic only took two sets to beat the Norwegian.
Novak Djokovic is yet to play his third round. His next opponent will either be Flavio Cobolli or Stan Wawrinka in the next match.
